Mid century vintage 70s ‘BAMBUS’ coffee duo set from MELITTA Germany (1 cup + 1 plate).
In 1908, Melitta Bentz, a 35-year-old woman from Dresden, Germany, invented the first coffee filter, receiving a patent registration for her “Filter Top Device lined with Filter Paper” from the Patent Office in Berlin on July 8. She founded the company bearing her name the same year.
Ceracron is a registered trademark for a special stoneware. The composition was initially about 1970 for the colored tableware of Melitta developed and is characterized in addition to its hardness and resistance is characterized in that the material has a higher density than ‘normal’ earthenware. It is made with different glazes . The first series of tableware were produced before patents or trademarks had been applied for.
