Set of 3 Vintage 90s Swedish ‘PARTY’ ceramic plates by designer Ann Jansson for Höganäs Ceramics.

Ann Jansson resides in her studio in Höganäs, Sweden and has showcased her works in a variety of galleries throughout Europe. Her items are a border between everyday objects and sculpture, for example most of vessels are actually functional but some are a lot bigger than your normal so could be placed on a sideboard or windowsill as more of a decorative piece.

Höganäs Keramik plays a key role in the Swedish coffee break – the “fika” time when work briefly stops so colleagues can chat and socialise. Höganäs Keramik was founded in 1909, when local craftsmen in south-west Sweden began producing heat-resistant, heat-retaining household ceramics. Coffee-drinking trends come and go, but the Höganäs stoneware mug remains the signal for “fika” time. The company is now a part of Iittala Group, which is also known for BodaNova, Rörstrand and Iittala design brands. The company’s range includes stoneware from Höganäs Keramik, cutlery, glass, serving products from BodaNova and porcelain tableware from Rörstrand.
